Dr. Kesavamoorthy R

DR. KESAVAMOORTHY R has a unique combination of industry and academic experience in the field of law. He became an advocate in 2007 and has since appeared before lower and appellate courts in Chennai. His expertise in both the theories and practices of law has allowed him to continue providing legal consultancy services to businesses, even after transitioning into academia. Over the course of his career, he has gained more than 17 years of experience in legal consultancy, including SMEs industries, Insolvency, business, corporate legal adviser, and Arbitration, among others. His skills in providing legal advice and opinions are highly commendable, as are his negotiating skills in agreement finalization and dispute resolution. Dr. Kesavamoorthy R is also a member of the legal expert committee at the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of India’s oldest chambers with a legacy of 200 years. He obtained his Ph.D in Business & Corporate Law from Pondicherry University. His passion for academics never waned and he began his academic career in 2013 while continuing his legal consultancy work. He has ten years of experience as a law teacher and administrator in various law schools. He is an expert member of various universities’ Board of Studies and doctoral committees. Furthermore, he has given special lectures in numerous institutions and participated in seminars, conferences, etc. He is an editor of several well-known international journals. Legal drafting and research are among his numerous freelance legal projects. He has 16 published research papers to his credit in various reputable national and international journals. He is a recognized Ph.D. Guide at VIT School of Law and is currently supervising six research scholars.
